Phoenix Squawking

Postby Shawn2774 on Tue May 12, 2009 5:50 pm

I wanted to post this link of my Green Wing Macaw. She squawks in a medium voice almost constantly if someone is around. When she is resting or thinks she is alone, she plays in her cage. She seems to act fine otherwise. Does anyone have andy ideas as to why she would keep doing this? She has lots of out of cage time and plenty of personal attention. She talks at certain times, but never on command.

Here ya go:

Today she is 10 days shy of 5 months old. I know she is young, and I have been putting off getting some hand feeding formula, as she has been eating well. She is not losing weight. I thought that the squawking might be due to wanting a feeding. She dove right in to some mashed sweet potato tonight. She does seem more content right after eating.
